Lesson 5 - Review of the OSI Model

   Introduction

This lesson reviews some of the key principles of the OSI model presented in the Introduction to Networking course. The OSI model is used as a frame of reference in computer networking (and in this course). The following information is critical to understanding computer networking and local area network (LANs).

   Objectives

At the end of this lesson you should be able to:

1.	Describe the primary function of each layer of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model
2.	List the two main types of addresses found in most computer networks
