T1
T1 is one of the T-carrier telecommunication standards for multiplexing digitized voice signals. A T1 channel operates at 1.544 Mbps. Each T1 channel (64 Kbps) was designed to carry a digitized representation of an analog signal (a telephone call) that has a bandwidth of 4,000 Hz. Originally, 64 Kbps was required to digitize a 4,000-Hz voice signal. Current technology has reduced that requirement to 32 Kbps or less; however, a T-carrier channel is still 64 Kbps.
T1 multiplexer (MUX)
A T1 MUX is a device that breaks an outgoing bit stream into T1 time slices, and reassembles incoming time slices into a continuous bit stream. It sits between a LAN and a DSU (or DSU side of a CSU/DSU).

TCP is a Transport Level protocol that provides reliable, full-duplex communication between two software processes on different computers. TCP normally uses IP to transmit information across the underlying network.
